The Department of English was established in the year 1968, with the establishment of the college. As the second language, the language of English is prescribed for all programs as a compulsory subject. The students’ intake is 390 per year. The department has continually been striving for excellence in teaching and learning. Faculty members of the department are highly qualified, dedicated to motivate the students and make them compete the prevailing global competitive scenario. The faculty members lay emphasis on inclusion of modern teaching technologies viz. LCDs, digital and virtual modes of teaching. The department has the history of producing hundreds of human resources over the past years.
